DANIEL SMITH Buff Titanium is a most welcome neutral. When a drop of Buff Titanium is added to a moist wash, the pigment displacement is especially effective for creating clouds in the sky. Pre-mix Buff Titanium with Quinacridone Rose or Perinone Orange for subtle hues and matte surfaces. Combine it with Indigo or Van Dyck Brown to create slate-colored shadows and soft feathers.

DANIEL SMITH Raw Sienna Light has more golden yellow tones than the standard Raw Sienna. This Sienna is a granulating color with a smoother wash, suggesting sunny wheat fields, dried savannah grasses, and other sunbaked landscapes.

DANIEL SMITH Bronzite (PrimaTek) is a warm honey-bronze color with lustrous sparkle. In masstone, it's a warm golden-brown somewhere between ochre and sienna, but distinctly different, letting down into pale washes of soft, always warm, sandy beige. On cold press or rough paper, the brown settles out of this intriguing special-effect color.

DANIEL SMITH Venetian Red is an earthy red-brown with opaque, sedimentary properties, great for fall paintings and applications similar to Indian Red. Dropping Venetian Red into a wet Lunar Earth wash produces exciting results.

DANIEL SMITH Burnt Sienna Light makes a good, light flesh tone for portraits in very light washes, and is a rich red-brown in darker washes.

DANIEL SMITH Lunar is a transparent black with an expansive value range and pigment particles that react like magnetic shavings, attracting and repelling each other.
